The term “making a difference” is so overused that it tends to lose its significance. Planting a tree makes a difference. Recycling your aluminum cans makes a difference. Advocating for children victimized by abuse and/or neglect is the ultimate “making a difference” undertaking. Our work as Guardians ad Litem frequently and dramatically improves children’s lives.
All my time and effort is worth it each time we close a case that made a child’s life better. I thank God for bringing me to my role as a Guardian ad Litem.
